Do you know how Google ranks your website? It doesn’t rank the entire site, well, it does, but they rank each individual page of your website as well. A lot of business owners I talk to say their site ranks for specific phrases, but they don’t necessarily realize what pages, in particular, are ranking for those keywords.
Develop each page on your website so that it ranks for a specific product line or service that you want your business to get found for.
You can do that inside of your contact us page, your about us page and obviously your product and services pages. But, instead of just throwing the same old stuff up there, make sure you are talking about what you want people to find you for.
That has to be on every page. For example, I want people to find me for websites and marketing. Somehow, someway those topics or keywords need to find their way on every page of my website.
If you want to get found for masonry work or you want to get found for bookkeeping, you have got to make sure that those topics along with the primary keywords and the secondary keywords are getting found on all of the pages of your site, and not just your home page.
So get in there, get under the hood and start changing some of those keywords around on each of your pages and make sure that you rank better on each page.
